Ok here are 3 steps in detail on how you should build your list.

Firstly and most importantly you must use a good opt-in list provider, personally
i use iContact manages online opt-in email newsletters, follow-up automation, and email deliver ability services for small business customers around the world. If you become a customers you will have access to there website 24/7 to manage and send your newsletters to recipients who have specifically opted in on their website to receive your information.

Give away a free report:

Your free report should address a important issue in the market that you are targeting. Keep it simple and accurate. If your subscribers like the report they will recommend it to others, but if your lazy like me just find a free popular ebook that you are aloud to give away, there are plenty around and the best ebooks to use are ones you can rebrand and place your affiliate link into also this save you time writing.

Lets get started
Step 1. Now it really doesn’t matter how big your report is, it can be…from 4-6 pages long or even as long as 200 pages it really doesn’t matter. What is important is the content of the report, your report should be of good quality not spammy and it should give your subscriber what you promised. You must deliver, or your list members will unsubscribe, never respond to your offers or mark your emails as spam.

Step 2. Auto-pilot list building:
To automate this process you will need to give a BIG incentive to your existing subscribers to refer new ones, we want out existing member to refer others for us. For this step the incentive has to be monetary. Your members should be able to earn
PHAT returns if they get new people to your list.

Here are some of the incentives that are being used successfully in the make money market:

1) One Time Offer - A.K.A = OTO
Hit your subscribers with a One time offer, as soon as they sign up for your list. The product/s you offer should be closely related to your report, and it should offer high value. You can create an affiliate program for this product (you can use paydotcom or CB) and offer a high affiliate commission. This will give your existing list an incentive to promote your free report.

2) Run a Contest - An affiliate contest can give your list building a huge boost. Running a contest for a limited time or on a weekly/monthly basis where you give a money prize, give voucher or a quality ebook to the top referrers.

3) Get Loads of Traffic, or you can pay your existing list to get referrals for you, some make money marketers pay up to 0.70cents per referral, but i do not recommend this technique unless you know what your doing.

There are some more advanced tricks being used by established marketers, but they require the use of high end scripts.

Always keep this in mind - if your report is not good, then the entire exercise will be a total waste. Be truthful in your sales letter/squeeze page. It won’t do any good if you make false promises and then don’t deliver on them.

1. Write and submit articles to as many article directories as possible.
The best site to submit to are ezinearticles.com & goarticles.com.
When you are writing your first article make sure its interesting enough to get people looking at it, take risks, make it edgy, make it HOT, Also do a search on Google.com for “bum marketing” and learn everything about it.

2. Go to answers.yahoo.com and start answering questions in your niche with a link back to your site.
But do not spam Yahoo Answers you want to contribute good answers so you actually help the person then that will get you the best answer, but just leaving a link back to your site is ok and long as its relevant to the question.

3. Post in related forums and leave a link to your site in the signature.
With forum answering do not expect the traffic to just start flowing in like crazy at first, you will have to establish trust with other members of the forum, spamming sending out scam mail do not work so don’t even try it just generally help others

4. Write quality comments on other people’s blogs with a link to your site.

5. Write a press release and submit it to press release sites as PRWeb.com.
Make sure when you write you press release, that the content is of good quality a good written article can bring you hords of traffic.

6. Give an honest testimonial on a product that you have used in exchange for a link back to your site.
Find good people from the forums you hang out in and ask if they will give you a testimonial on a product you know they have used or have had success with.

7. Submit your blog to many blog directories. Go to google and type: “blog directory”
Or to submit your blog go to www.pingomatic.com & http://pingoat.com

8. Search on Google for the free guide “SEO Made Easy” and learn about SEO.
SEO stand for Search Engine Optimization, which means you make you website search engine friendly, using the right keyword having quality content can get you placed highly in the search engine.

9. Optimize your website for several keywords or keyphrases.

10. Advertise your website in the appropriate category on CraigsList.com or other classified ads sites.
This creates back links to your site and may bring free traffic from craigslist.com

11. Add a link in your email signature to your website.

12. Use all 3 major PPC services … Adwords, SearchMarketing, AdCenter .

13. Add a “bookmark” button to your site.

14. Send articles to ezine publishers and include a link to your website.

15. Give away something for free - an e-book, report or e-course to encourage people to come back to your site.
when you do this make sure you add a opt-in form to the page, this way you will create a list and you can sell something or share a good free product with them later.

16. Create an RSS feed for your blog.

17. Submit your site to many related niche directories by going to google.com and typing in: “yourniche + directory”.

18. Put a “tell-a-friend” form on your site.

19. Submit your website to the major search engines.

20. Social bookmark your site. Search on Google for “social bookmarking”

Digg: Submit a blog or a good article to digg, make sure its very interesting or no one wil digg it
Facebook: At face book you are able to place free ads, or paid ads in any catergory.
