A few months ago I brought a domain name and did nothing with it so it was just sitting there. I had some free time so I thought I would build the site and get it ready for promotion. I have not done any serious promotion yet and probably won’t for a few months.

Here’s what I did….

-I setup wordpress
-Added pre written posts and pages: 7 pages and 4 posts
-I added 2 plugins PhpBay Pro and WhyDoWork Adsense
-I added a big list of ping sites.
-Then published the blog.

It’s been 3 weeks since I put the site up properly and I have been able to accumulated 800 unique visitors with NO PROMOTION, all of these visitors came from the search engines.

It’s so funny because that site that is a .info and has been active for only 2 months, that website is getting more traffic than this site.

It is very easy to lose money online, when I first started in this industry I would have lost about $1000.00 in my first week! That money was spent on PPC, Ebooks and Tools. Although some of the ebooks were good most were a major waste of money.

Here’s 4 easy ways to lose money online.

1. Gambling!:
Yep 1# is gambling online, yes you can win big but you can also lose big. If you’re really wanting to make it big in internet marketing then leave gambling alone until you are rich.

2. PPC - Pay Per Click Advertising:
If you don’t know anything about PPC I would highly recommend you steer clear of PPC, again you can make thousands but you can also lose just as much. Focus on Free Website Traffic.

3. Ebooks:
Don’t buy it unless you need it! I would recommend searching “digital point forum” for ebooks because they are cheap and usually very informative. Avoid Clickbank ebooks at all costs unless they are tools like BANS, keyword tools and so on.

4. Black Hat Marketing:
If you’re not careful you can lose your entire online business doing black hat marketing. You can lose you’re hosting, affiliate accounts and cash you have in those affiliate accounts, it’s just not worth it. Be very careful if you choose to go into black hat marketing, protect yourself fully and have a backup plan if all goes wrong.

Just be very careful when you’re about to buy something online read all of the fine print and make sure there are some real reviews from real people who have brought the product.
